Data Processing Specialist

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Processing Specialist to join our team.
The Data Processing Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and organizing client data with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. This role plays a key part in supporting the clinical and administrative teams by ensuring that all data—ranging from patient intake forms to therapy progress notes—is processed efficiently and securely.
Input, update, and maintain client records in electronic databases and software systems (e.g., EMR/EHR systems).
Verify the accuracy and completeness of data received from clinical and administrative teams.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other data protection regulations.
Prepare reports, summaries, and data exports as requested by management or clinicians.
Assist in developing data collection procedures and improve data entry processes.
Maintain data integrity through regular audits and error-checking.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate recording of therapy sessions and client progress.
Respond to data-related inquiries and provide technical support for data access and reporting.
Handle confidential client information with discretion and professionalism.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
Proven experience in data entry, data management, or administrative support (preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and data management systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Understanding of data privacy standards and HIPAA compliance.
Preferred:
Experience with healthcare software such as EMRs or EHRs.
Familiarity with speech and language clinic operations or terminology.
Prior work experience in a clinical or healthcare administrative setting.
May involve prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
