Job Description:
This position is responsible for carrying out a range of data quality activities related to the surveillance of conditions of public health concern. Works as a team or project member, under the direction of an Office Chief, conducting data quality functions including but not limited to: processing updates to cases
in the surveillance database; cleaning surveillance data; maintain and updating protocols for surveillance processes; performing routing of infectious disease reports and laboratory results of both scanned and electronic reports; training of epidemiologists and other staff in routing; consult for disease data entry staff; provide insight for routing process improvement; participate in CQI groups; and perform other related work as required.
Required Skills
3-5 Years of Data Entry/Data Quality Experience
Experience identifying Data Quality Issues and Data Routing
High School Diploma or Better
Must have own equipment/laptop
Experience with Medical Records
Preferred Skills
Data Entry/Data Quality experience with Medical Records
Experience with Medsis and/or Prism
