    Top Required Skills & Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the below

    \- Prior experience in data warehousing or dashboarding projects (3-5 years)

    -Ability to create test plans and perform application, reporting and system regression tests

    -Ability to estimate phases of work and contribute to project planning, including experience writing user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.

    -Experience using relational databases (writing queries, etc.) using SQL Server

    Nice to Have Skills:

    -Ability to synthesize requirements and work with developers to create options/recommendation papers for decisions to be made by any stakeholder level.

    -Strong written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation skills.

    -Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting in the education sector (K-12/P20W).

    Project details:

    The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is seeking two Business Analysts who will serve as a member of the Data Warehouse and Decision Support (DWDS) section in the Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS) in the Division of Management Services. The DWDS team is responsible for the statewide longitudinal data warehouse (SLDS), development, system testing, analysis, and maintenance and integration of data in the SLDS, WISEdash and other reporting systems (Microsoft Fabric/Power BI). These systems require extensive K-12 sector knowledge and experience integrating complex data and developing dashboards and reports to convey that information to DPI staff, school districts and the general public. The candidates will be working to gather requirements, assure quality and generally build out the agency’s modernized WISEdash Public portal.
