    Job Summary

    Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SQL Server, dimensional data modeling, SSIS ETL development, and data warehousing best practices.

    This role requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently, collaborate effectively with Business Systems Analysts and Project Managers, and translate business requirements into scalable, analytics-ready data solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in Kimball methodologies, database development, data validation, and source control management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Analyze and profile source systems to assess data quality, availability, and extraction requirements.

    Design and develop dimensional data models, star schemas, and data marts using Kimball methodologies.

    Create detailed data flow designs and mapping documentation that translate business requirements into technical specifications.

    Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and indexes.

    Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server data marts to support reporting and analytics initiatives.

    Develop and manage Visual Studio database projects to support version-controlled and repeatable deployments.

    Utilize GIT for source code management, version control, branching strategies, and team collaboration.

    Design, develop, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot SSIS ETL packages and workflows.

    Perform data validation and testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with business requirements.

    Troubleshoot and resolve data integration, transformation, and performance issues.

    Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

    Create and maintain technical documentation, including data mappings, ETL designs, and deployment procedures.

    Support ongoing enhancements, maintenance, and optimization of data warehouse solutions.

    Assist with dashboard and report development using business intelligence tools when needed.

    Required Qualifications

    Strong experience in Data Warehouse Development and Data Engineering.

    Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server development.

    Proven experience designing dimensional data models using Kimball methodologies.

    Experience creating and maintaining data marts and enterprise data warehouse solutions.

    Strong expertise in SQL programming, including stored procedures, views, functions, indexing, and performance tuning.

    Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSIS ETL packages.

    Experience with data profiling, source system analysis, and data mapping.

    Experience creating data flow designs and technical documentation.

    Strong experience using Visual Studio Database Projects.

    Experience managing source code and deployments using GIT.

    Strong understanding of data validation, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.

    Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.

    Experience working in Agile development environments.

    Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.

    Experience supporting enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives.

    Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture concepts.
