    Job Description

    As the Presales Data Architect Lead, you will be a strategic member of our go to market organization helping our customers modernize and transform how they look at data. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue growth through effective leadership of our Presales Data Architects. You will work cross-functionally to promote and influence sales priorities, and lead by example to demonstrate understanding and applicability of our technology stack to drive outcomes for our customers. You will serve as a leader and contributor to drive accountability and growth within DataStax.

    What you will do:

    • Be a strong business partner with the Enterprise Sales Leadership team on all aspects of the business, strategic planning, recruiting and nurturing top talent.

    • Collaborate with Sales Leaders within the region to develop territory plans to exceed quarterly sales objectives

    • Coach a team of Data Architects to qualify technical requirements, sell/evangelize our platform to drive transformational business outcomes

    • Coach the team to proactively drive high levels of engagement through discovery sessions, enablement, and solution planning with enterprises

    • Manage and lead by example with your team by demonstrating ability to lead discussions about our technology and platform at all levels of the organization from CTO to Architects to Developers to Operators.

    • Craft and drive innovative processes, projects, demo platforms, and more that help the Data Architects on the team differentiate our offerings in the market

    • Lead technical quarterly business reviews with customers to deliver business value with enterprise team

    • Work with Product Management and Engineering to provide feedback from the field that will drive future releases

    • Travel up to 25% of the time

    Your experience should include:

    • Shaping a customers transformational journey with a consultative mindset

    • Adapting to new technology, products, and releases in a velocity environment, and coaching a team through the same level of knowledge adoption

    • Creating a culture of knowledge sharing by authoring and contributing to internal and external technical collateral, white papers, tutorials, and best practices

    • Be insanely curious on how to drive data solutions to fortune 500 companies.

    • Knowledge of API design and development in enterprise ecosystems

    • Experience working with Java, C#, Go, Node.js, or Python

    • Understanding of Kubernetes and applications in enterprise ecosystems

    • Knowledge of at least one cloud provider stack - AWS, Azure, or GCP

    • Experience architecting and delivering solutions in a large enterprise

    • A solid understanding of system architecture and software design principles

    • Exposure Apache Cassandra NoSQL technologies or Traditional RDBMS
