Job Description
The DataStax Corporate Marketing team is looking for a Social Media Leader to accelerate and expand our company’s social media initiatives. We are looking for a creative and strategic individual to manage the company’s social publishing, listening, and engagement to boost brand awareness.. This role will define and manage the company’s overall organic social strategy, including social-first content creation, work cross-functionally on social initiatives, drive employee social engagement, and manage all day-to-day social execution.
This is a unique opportunity to shape our brand on social media while building the internal processes and structure to support it. In this role, the ideal candidate has experience managing social programs and driving social audience growth with a combination of organic and paid social programs.
Social Media Strategy:
Deliver a strategic social media plan that is aligned with marketing goals and priorities
Select and manage social resources, tools, and operations, including a tool to boost employee social engagement Collaborate cross-functionally to create, support, and execute content, campaigns, and initiatives across key social channels (specifically: create a strategy to grow audiences on Twitter and LinkedIn)
Determine KPIs, monitor performance and adjust as needed and report data/learnings on a regular basis
Use social media platforms (e.g. Sprout Social) and other social automated tools to publish, measure, listen and engage on social
Support account-based marketing efforts with systems, tools, and recommendations
Social Publishing:
Own the social content creation for all brand awareness initiatives, including product launches, thought leadership, corporate PR and marketing programs, customer success stories, and much more
Own and manage the social content calendar across our organization, aligning closely with other teams that will have social content, including Demand Gen, HR, and developer marketing teams, and ensuring that we post the right social content, at the right time, with the right cadence
Publish, monitor, and maintain DataStax corporate social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Paid Social:
While this role is primarily focused on organic social tactics to boost brand awareness, you will work closely with our Demand Gen team on the execution and alignment of paid audience acquisition through social channels
Identify opportunities to invest in paid organic social boosts to maximize the visibility of social content for brand awareness
Social Listening & Engagement:
Actively monitor our key social channels and foster ongoing interactivity through either engaging directly or pulling in the best resources to respond
Engage with our customer’s social activities and relevant market trends
Leverage key trending topics for issues response
Monitor and have processes in place for social listening for customer service/care and support
Job Requirements:
Expertise managing and executing social programs
Ability to set process, manage across functions and measure against goals
Ability to create and execute organic and paid social programs
Demonstrated experience working with social media platforms and tools (e.g. Sprout Social
Experience with B2B enterprise software technology with open source exposure being a plus.
Stellar project management skills.
Team oriented, creative, adaptable, and driven.
