    Position Summary
    We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated MariaDB Database Engineer Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced database engineers and contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of database systems. The intern will gain hands-on experience in relational database theory, database methodology, design, and modeling. They will assist in developing, implementing, and documenting policies and procedures to ensure data integrity while ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and an eagerness to learn. This position is designed for individuals who can collaborate effectively with technical and business teams and are passionate about database systems.

    Accountabilities/Responsibilities

    • Assist in Database Architecture, Design, and Implementation of relational databases, focusing on scalability and performance.
    • Support in Data Availability, Control, Governance, and Integrity initiatives to ensure secure and reliable database management.
    • Contribute to Data Centric Application Design and Programming, collaborating with development teams to align database needs with application requirements.
    • Participate in Database Performance and Scalability assessments, ensuring the efficient operation of database systems under various workloads.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college, either at the undergraduate or master’s level.
    • One semester post-graduation
