    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Materials FA-Test Engineer III, supporting product design and applications for Space products at the Glendale site. Responsibilities include: perform component level analyses – including Failure Analyses, Destructive Physical Analyses, counterfeit product assessment - for customers from various departments within the company, generate written reports, interpret and communicate analysis data from a broad range of test labs as well as coordination of such activities, and interface with customer technical personnel. YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor’s Degree • 3 years’ experience with failure analysis of electrical components, electrical test, or materials analysis WE VALUE • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy or Ceramic Engineering • Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy or Ceramic Engineering • Experience with hands-on failure analysis of electronic components; including ICs, capacitors, resistors, transistors, inductors, crystals, transformers, relays, and LEDs with all varieties of packaging • Experience in troubleshooting, particularly at component level, and performing electrical characterization using curve tracers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, LCRs and DMMs. • Skill at sample preparation, including chemical de-capsulation, plasma etching, cross-sectioning, and various SEM specimen preparation techniques • Hands-on experience with liquid crystal analysis, photo emission and other fault isolation techniques • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, including semiconductors, hybrids, PCBs, and soldering • Hands-on experience with key analytical techniques including SEM, EDS, XRF, and Real-Time X-Ray analysis • Experience and ability to interpret application and component schematics • Experience interfacing with external customers • Experience developing and defining engineering processes • Experience mentoring lower level engineers • Excellent communication skills, both written, and verbal • Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple jobs simultaneously • Ability to work with and manage the efforts of others in laboratory, including both engineers and technicians • Experience with (Honeywell) LIMS database execution and metrics management • Experience with Honeywell products and services • Experience with Honeywell systems and tools
