    Job Description

    JOB TITLE --- Electronic Security Technician (ESS equipment)

    LOCATION ----- Atlanta, GA 30303

    Duration ----- 3 months work in Atlanta. Plan to put on different program after that. However, plan on additional work requiring 100% travel. Travel includes government rate per diem (travel, lodging food….)

    Pay Rate - Dictated pay rate is 22.42/Davis Bacon - Fringe is $5.42 - Total $27.84

    Shift - A lot of the work is during the day, but sometimes they work 10s or weekends. Examples: Start at 1:00 PM and leave work at 11:00 PM. Sometimes they work 12s and weekends.

    Note - DOJ/GSA clearance - Candidate must be able to obtain a moderate suitability investigation prior to start work.

    What to expect: As an Electronic Technician for this critical program, candidates will be expected to perform a variety of in-depth technical functions required in the installation, maintenance and repair of security equipment and systems. This position is offering the opportunity for a flexible schedule up to 39 hours per week in the Atlanta, GA area. All candidates must be willing and able to travel as job requires, travel can be expected most of the time.

    The Electronic Technicians will be involved in troubleshooting, replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, flukes and telecommunication (fiber or network cable) testing and certification equipment.

    The work requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to electronic security systems and equipment installed at facilities.

    Additionally, candidates must have the ability to:

    • Understand and follow technical guidance such as circuitry and layouts where available.
    • Ability to locate, repair or replace equipment as required
    • Troubleshoot complex security systems, hardware and software
    • Independently assess and resolve security system problems.
    • Independently install access control end electronic security systems
    • Ability to configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment and to provide in-depth technical assistance to other technicians when called upon to assist in corrective maintenance and restoration activities

    • Experience specifically with Bosh, Identive, Lenel, Commend, Milestone and Aiphone are preferred.
    • Knowledge of OSHA general safety standards and the proper care and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Candidate must be able to obtain a moderate suitability investigation prior to start work.
    • The technician must possess at least 3 years of experience installing or maintaining ESS equipment, to include video surveillance systems, access control
    • Experience specifically with Bosh, Identive, Lenel, Commend, Milestone and Aiphone are preferred
    • Voltage - All low voltage- 24 -48 VAC/DC

    Education:

    • High school education or GED. Formal training/certifications on ESS technologies or 4 years electronics apprentice program.

    Required Exp:

    • Candidates must possess a minimum 3 years of experience installing or maintaining ESS equipment. Specific experience with Bosh IDS, Identive PACS, Lenel PACS, Commend, Milestone video system and Aiphone are highly sought after and preferred.
