We want to eventually help tens of millions of students worldwide change their lives through data science education, and you'll play a key role in helping us get there. We are looking for a Course Author to write engaging, technically robust courses to teach students of diverse backgrounds and interests data science using a hands-on, learn-by-doing approach.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

We're looking for course author with a rich background in data science. You should enjoy writing content on topics including, but not limited to, introductory programming (in R and Python), data visualization, data cleaning, statistics, and machine learning. Ideally, you have a passion for identifying and analyzing metrics, which will help you to evaluate and optimize courses to improve our students' learning experience.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

• Designing and authoring high-quality courses in the author's area of expertise.
• Soliciting and actioning student feedback on courses.
• Performing technical review of colleagues' courses.
• Effectively managing time and meeting deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE:

• Proficiency in Python and/or R.
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Statistics
  • Machine learning
  • Data visualization
  • Mathematics (calculus, linear algebra)
• Passion for education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Outstanding time management.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience working with remote teams.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Experience teaching, even if it's writing technical or educational blog posts.
• Background in learning styles, basic education research, and/or pedagogy.
