Job Description & Responsibilities
We are currently hiring for a part time CAD Drafter with 1+ years of experience and or completion of 1 year's coursework in a CAD Drafting and/or Design Program. The candidate will travel to various locations within a set territory creating/updating drawing for various retail or restaurant client stores. Drawings will include floor plans, site plans, department design, fixture design, etc.
The CAD Drafter will work closely with the DAVACO Project Manager to create accurate drawings of the specified area. An ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, good communication, and time management skills are a must. Candidate may be asked to complete surveys of locations as well.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Must have own laptop and/or tablet with AutoCAD/Revit program installed
Each survey will be unique and tailored to meet each client's criteria set up by the DAVACO Project Manager for your implementation
Architectural surveys will be set up in CAD for your use with standardized blocks and design details to be inserted into the mini set you will be creating
If no plans exist for the store or they are not accurate, you will be required to create/rework drawings using AutoCAD/Revit to be reviewed and approved by the DAVACO Project Manager
Work within defined QA/QC review process to ensure accuracy
Mastery of basic commands of at least one type of CAD system
Data Collection/Photos/Measurement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High School Diploma and Coursework in Drafting Technology or Specialized CAD certification required
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
Must have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
Flexible schedule
Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reach, stand, kneel and climb ladders
