As a Davenport Machine Technician, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our machines run smoothly, efficiently and your attention to detail and technical expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of excellence. Responsibilities: • Operate two or more multiple spindle screw machines, and extra pay for a third machine. • Experience /knowledge changing cams, grinding form tools, drills, cutoffs, maintenance activities. • Initiate troubleshooting and solve mechanical problems when they arise. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and reset the machine tooling as needed to maintain part conformance. • Utilize hand tools, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other equipment to ensure parts meet specifications. • Sharpen and adjust tools to maintain part conformity. • Position and secure tools in tool holders to match tooling layout. • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, machine instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating machine instructions, and procedure manuals. • Utilize Statistical Process Control techniques. • Ensure the machine performance meets quality control standards. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications: • Preferred to have at least 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing. • Have the ability to interpret blueprints. • Experience setting up machines. • Mechanical, and electrical knowledge is very helpful. • Experience in inspecting parts. • A keen eye for quality. • Understanding of SPC. • Possess strong problem-solving capabilities. • Possess excellent communication skills. • Have a strong work ethic with an excellent attendance record. • Physically capable of performing the duties of the job, as it involves lifting of 40lbs or more. Compensation: $19 - $30 hourly
