Our insurance defense firm in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time and/or part-time Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC). Our LNC's assist attorneys as a paralegal while paying particular attention to the medical aspects of cases in litigation by obtaining, organizing and summarizing medical records and related documentation, preparing medical research and consults with expert witnesses, and assist in preparing pleadings and client reports. If you would like to trade stressful shift work for a clerical Monday through Friday position while still utilizing your nursing knowledge and experience, we would love to talk to you. Legal experience is not necessary. Training is on-site in our beautiful downtown Pittsburgh offices. Upon training completion, the job can transition to hybrid/remote. OVERVIEW * Maintain organized and indexed medical records in digital or paper format as requested by supervising attorney * Analyze medical records for appropriate documentation * Regularly communicate with health care providers * Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in nursing. * Must be proficient in written and oral communication, as well as internet research and use of Microsoft Office * Excellent communication skills are a must as there is a great deal of client contact involvement.
