Primary Duties:
Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
Carry out all duties assigned by Director of Nursing in evaluating, planning, and implementing plans of care.
Administer injections, distribute medications, take vital signs, collect samples, and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
Complete insurance reviews and pre-certifications, admissions and discharges.
Observe and record patient’s symptoms, condition, and/or reactions to medications, treatments and report results to charge nurse/supervisor.
Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
Maintain professional communications and interactions with clinical and support staff members.
Education / Experience:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nuese (RN) active license in the State of Pennsylvania.
Skills and Physical Requirements:
Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and outside referral agencies.
Maintain accurate documentation and records in the client record.
Ability to perform functions of LPN/RN in substance abuse setting.
Prolonged period of time on your feet .
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
