Job Description

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work under the guidance of an experienced engineer who is usually mid or senior level. Your responsibilities are to learn as much as you can about software and/or systems engineering as well as learn the dynamics of a software development organization. Your job duties tasks like coding and debugging software applications and experimenting with design elements. You also review other engineers’ code, test software applications, and patches, and implement changes and updates when necessary. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Be an active participant in an Agile software development team 

• Meet with assigned mentor and Team Lead regularly to guide progress 

• Work on a customized project that will be defined by the Team Lead and the Mentor 

• Participate in regular Internship program meetings with Technology leaders 

• Learn, learn, learn!  And have some fun!

• Highly organized, methodical, terrific problem solver, and great communicator 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Current enrollment in a degree or certificate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 

• Familiarity with one (1) or more programming languages 

• Familiarity with concepts related to computer science
