Overview: The Daycare Teacher plays a vital role in the early childhood development of young children. They are responsible for creating a positive, stimulating, and safe environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Responsibilities: Develop curriculum, plan daily routines, and prepare engaging activities catering to children's developmental needs. Monitor children's behavior, maintain a clean and organized classroom, and ensure a safe environment. Assist with the basic needs of the children. Regularly update parents on the child's progress, address concerns, and foster a positive relationship. Work effectively with other teachers, directors, and support staff to ensure a positive and cohesive learning environment.
Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing training.
Minimum Requirement: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Preferred an associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a CDA. Willing to work toward CDA within one (1) year of being hired. Pass a drug and background check.
