Casa Angelica is seeking a Part-Time Day Hab Technician to assist with our Day Habilitation program for medically fragile children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities. The Day Hab Technician supports residents in structured daily activities designed to promote engagement, sensory stimulation, and quality of life. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with individuals with special needs and wants to make a meaningful difference in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Schedule Part-Time Hours M-F 10 am-2 pm Ideal for students, caregivers, or individuals seeking meaningful part-time work. What We Offer • Competitive hourly pay based on experience • Paid training • Supportive team environment • Opportunity to gain experience in healthcare or human services • Meaningful work that directly improves residents’ daily lives Responsibilities: Position Responsibilities • Assist residents with daily Day Hab activities such as crafts, sensory activities, music, and recreation • Provide hands-on support to wheelchair-dependent residents and individuals requiring full assistance • Help residents participate in activities through hand-over-hand assistance when needed • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized activity environment • Assist with positioning, transfers, and mobility with proper training • Support residents’ social interaction and engagement • Work closely with nursing and direct care staff to support resident needs • Help prepare activity materials and supplies • Encourage participation and create a positive and welcoming atmosphere Qualifications: • Compassionate and patient personality • Reliable and dependable • Comfortable providing hands-on assistance • Ability to work with individuals with disabilities • Ability to lift and assist with transfers (training provided) • Experience in caregiving, special education, therapy support, or direct care preferred but not required Compensation: $16 Hourly
