Maitri Multi-Media is an Art, Music & Gaming based Day Program for adults with intellectual disabilities. Maitri Multi-Media Day is devoted to incorporating a variety of art forms, methods, and mediums to encourage increased communication, coping, and expression skills, to build independence and a sense of community through individualized and group creative projects within the program itself and within the community. We utilize a variety of software & hardware tools including Ableton Live, Ableton Push, Splice, iMovie, Cricut, Distrokid, and much more to help our participants realize their creative goals. Maitri Multi Media also features a variety of game based approaches including dedicated spaces for Dungeons & Dragons and Retro gaming.
Day Program Direct Support Professionals supervise as well as encourage participants to engage in the provided activities on base and in the community. We strive to maintain a safe environment for our participants, their peers, ourselves, and the community at large.
More Maitri, Inc. will provide the Colorado state required training for the position listed including: QMAP (Medication Administration), CPR/First Aid, and CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)
** This position requires transporting clients, so you must have a valid drivers license and a working & registered vehicle. We do reimburse for mileage!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily documentation and tracking
Supervising and observing participants at all times to ensure their safety and to make sure they are not exhibiting harmful behavior to self or others
Teaching problem solving, conflict resolution and life skills
Transportation of participants into the community, to and from day program
Work with participants on projects with an understanding of each consumer's pace and developmental needs and the positive outcomes it will provide
Learn and use participants' historical information, behavior plans, and reoccurring trends as a tool to help their progress in achieving their goals
Facilitate group discussions and document engagement
Be creative, come up with new projects, ideas, tasks, etc. to engage in with participants
Take the lead, but allow room for your participants to direct their creative process
REQUIREMENTS:
HS diploma or GED.
Experience working in Mental Health preferred
Valid Driver's License
Dependable vehicle with current car insurance
Compassion plus an ability to set limits and follow through
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, listen carefully, interpret accurately & respond to a high volume of requests
Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Initiative and flexibility
Strong project/time management & organizational skills; detail oriented
Supportive, kind, caring and willing to ensure environment is respectful and honest
Ability to lift 50lbs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
