    Job Description: CNC Machinist/Programmer

    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team at our facility located in Clayton, NC, 27520. As a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC Mill machines, utilizing CAD/CAM software, reading blueprints, and ensuring precise measurements and quality control. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the production of high-quality machined parts.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate and program CNC Mill machines (3-4 axis VMC) to produce machined parts according to specifications
    • Utilize CAD/CAM software to create and modify CNC programs
    • Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining operations and dimensions
    • Set up and load materials, tools, and fixtures onto the machines
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines
    • Ensure the accuracy and quality of machined parts by conducting inspections and using precise measuring tools
    • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient production processes

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in operating CNC Mill machines (3-4 axis VMC) and related equipment
    • Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and modifying CNC programs
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances
    • Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming languages
    • Strong shop math skills, including the ability to perform calculations and measurements accurately
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

    You should be proficient in:

    • CAD/CAM Software
    • Blueprint Reading
    • G-Code
    • M-Code
    • Shop Math Skills

    Salary info:

    $25 - $30 / hr
