📢 NOW HIRING: CHILDCARE ASSISTANT

We are looking for a reliable, caring, and energetic Childcare Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate has daycare experience, enjoys working with children, takes initiative, and can help support the daily operations of a busy childcare program.

Position Details

✅ Part-Time (Approximately 30 hours per week) ✅ Monday–Friday ✅ $17.00 per hour ✅ Daycare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of children at all times • Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, arts and crafts, reading, music, and outdoor play • Assist with implementing daily lesson plans and activities • Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to program guidelines • Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and personal hygiene routines • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the day • Clean and sanitize toys, tables, high chairs, bathrooms, and frequently touched surfaces • Assist with nap time routines and classroom transitions • Complete daily attendance and documentation requirements • Take photos and document children's activities using Brightwheel • Communicate children's daily activities and milestones to families through Brightwheel • Assist with classroom setup, organization, and inventory of supplies • Create and post appropriate content for social media platforms • Help with laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and other daily program needs • Support special events, celebrations, and family engagement activities • Follow all health, safety, OCFS, and program policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Daycare or childcare experience preferred • Experience using Brightwheel preferred • Comfortable taking photos and posting content for social media • Ability to prepare simple meals and snacks for children • Reliable, punctual, and professional • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required • Must be comfortable working in a small home-based daycare setting
