Daycare Director

Location: Philipsburg, PA Employment Type: Full-Time (minimum 30 hours) Schedule: Monday–Friday

We are seeking a caring, organized, and experienced Daycare Director to lead our childcare center and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the daycare center

Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing requirements

Hire, train, supervise, and support teaching staff

Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment

Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff

Manage enrollment, staffing, schedules, and center records

Support curriculum planning and quality educational programming

Communicate effectively with families regarding their children’s care and development

Address staff and parent concerns professionally

Monitor budgets, supplies, and facility needs

Qualifications

Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or center management

Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Very strong organization skills

Passion for working with children and supporting families

Ability to lead a team with professionalism, compassion, and accountability

Required background checks, clearances, and certifications as applicable

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children or associates degree with 3 years of experience with children.
