Part-Time Preschool Office Assistant Primrose School of Berkeley Heights 246 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922 Hours: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM Salary Range: $17-$18/hour

The Primrose School of Berkeley Heights is a private preschool providing a premier educational childcare experience with year-round programs for Infants through Kindergarten. We are seeking a warm, organized, and dependable Office Assistant to support our daily school operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Greet every family, child, and staff member in a positive, professional, and welcoming manner

Answer phones and respond to inquiries courteously and professionally

Perform data entry involving confidential child and family information

Support the Leadership Team with scheduling tours, appointments, and follow-up communication with prospective families

Assist with school operations and facilities-related tasks to help ensure a clean, organized, and efficient environment

Support daily classroom functions as needed, including covering classroom breaks when necessary

Assist with kitchen and food service support as needed

Observe all Primrose School policies and all local, state, and national regulations regarding the health, safety, and care of children

Assist in other capacities as determined by the Head of School or designee

Desired Skills & Experience

Must meet basic requirements of the child care regulatory agency

Previous office or administrative experience required

Previous experience working with children required

Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

Comfortable supporting school operations and facilities needs in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children, classroom support, and emergency situations
