Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team 7:25am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. Responsibilities
Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
Design a daily and weekly activities schedule
Provide basic care: Cooking snack, lunch, dinner, diaper changing, potty training, & etc.
Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones with Brightwheel & Teachers Strategies Gold online.
Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities and required documentation for active enrollment
Attend in staff meeting bi-weekly to discuss program children and staffing concerns for coaching
Conduct bimonthly Queens Community House coaching visits
Conduct CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
Strong understanding of early childhood development
Patient, kind, and nurturing
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills to lead a group of 14 kids.
First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 2 weeks.
ASS or higher in early childhood or Accredited Family Childcare CDA
