Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team 7:25am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate

Design a daily and weekly activities schedule

Provide basic care: Cooking snack, lunch, dinner, diaper changing, potty training, & etc.

Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones with Brightwheel & Teachers Strategies Gold online.

Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities and required documentation for active enrollment

Attend in staff meeting bi-weekly to discuss program children and staffing concerns for coaching

Conduct bimonthly Queens Community House coaching visits

Conduct CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider

Strong understanding of early childhood development

Patient, kind, and nurturing

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills to lead a group of 14 kids.

First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 2 weeks.

ASS or higher in early childhood or Accredited Family Childcare CDA
