Are you an experienced phone salesperson? Transfer those skills into dispatching!

We are seeking a bilingual English/Spanish Day Time Sales Dispatcher, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. who will help stranded motorists, determine their location, explain available services, negotiate pricing and convert incoming inquiries into confirmed towing and roadside jobs.

These are inbound calls from people actively searching for help—not cold calls. The dispatcher must be comfortable asking for the booking, responding to price objections, returning missed calls, and following up with customers who disconnect or do not book during the first conversation. Knowing the Austin area is a major plus. If not, confidently using maps and live GPS information will be crucial. Customers may not know their exact address and may describe a highway exit, intersection, landmark, gas station, nearby business, or direction of travel.

This position is a combination of phone sales, customer service, dispatching, and office support. Roadside calls are the first priority. Between calls, the dispatcher will assist the primary vehicle-release dispatcher with customers retrieving vehicles from the impound facility. Some periods may be slower and focused on follow-up calls, vehicle releases, records, and documentation. Other periods may move quickly with several incoming calls, pricing conversations, driver coordination, and customers arriving to retrieve vehicles.

If you enjoy sales, multitasking, solving problems, helping people under pressure, and working in a real-world operations environment, this could be a great fit for you.

    Key Responsibilities

Answer towing and roadside-assistance calls in English and Spanish.

Assist stranded motorists who may be stressed, frustrated, or in an unsafe location.

Determine what service the customer needs.

Locate customers using addresses, intersections, highway exits, landmarks, maps, and live GPS information.

Explain service prices clearly and confidently.

Respond to price objections and negotiate within company-approved limits.

Use phone-sales skills to convert qualified inquiries into confirmed jobs.

Follow up with customers who disconnect or do not book during the first call.

Dispatch confirmed jobs based on driver location, availability, and urgency.

Communicate estimated arrival times and service information to customers.

Keep drivers updated when customer information or locations change.

Maintain accurate records of calls, quotes, dispatches, completed jobs, and lost opportunities.

Process assigned vehicle releases according to Texas vehicle-storage-facility requirements and company procedures.

Support general administrative and documentation tasks as needed.

    Qualifications

Experience in phone sales, inbound sales, customer retention, collections, or dispatching required.

Must be able to pass the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation required background check, pre-employment drug testing, and random drug testing during employment.

    Strong communication and conflict-de-escalation skills.

Able to remain calm with stressed, frustrated, or impatient customers.
