Daytime Newborn Care Specialist for One Girl in Indian Trail
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Indian Trail, NC, in finding a Newborn Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist for 8 weeks to care for their 3-month-old daughter (as of July 1st, 2025, her adjusted age is 1.5 months, as she was born 6 weeks early). The nanny would typically be needed Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, for 32.5 hours a week.
The best nanny for this family would be loving, patient, nurturing, and caring. Previous experience caring for infants is required. Any experience with premature infant care, nursing or medical experience, newborn care specialist training, or a newborn care certification would be a major plus. Each day, the nanny would be expected to come in and keep their daughter on a schedule (eating, napping, exercising, playing, massaging, bathing, and changing diapers) while also fostering a nurturing and educational environment. The nanny should read to the baby, do infant massage and infant exercises with her, take her on strolls (weather permitting), talk to her, and engage in developmental activities throughout the day (like looking at light and colors, tummy time, and other sensory activities). These activities will grow and evolve as the child grows older.
Their daughter was born 6 weeks early and has some reflux after feeds. So, the nanny will need to keep her elevated for 30 minutes after feeding. She also had moderate to severe pulmonary valve stenosis, which was recently reduced to mild stenosis with a balloon procedure. The nanny should be vigilant for any severe effects of the stenosis, but the family does not expect any at this point. Massaging her sinuses and performing neck stretches are also needed.
This family also wants to reduce the outside germs coming into their home and requires the nanny to remove their street shoes when entering the house and wear slippers (slippers will be provided) or non-street shoes while inside the home. The family also requests that the nanny bring a clean change of clothes to change into upon arrival at the home, to limit exposure to outside germs.

The family has two dogs, a Bernedoodle and a Goldendoodle. No pet care is expected. Baby does not engage with the pets at this time.
