    Event & Program Coordinator DC Ranch Community Council - Scottsdale, AZ APPLICANTS MUST: Please send resume, cover letter, and salary range requirement. The DC Ranch Community Council team is responsible for developing and carrying out a rich offering of programs, events and activities that complement our core values and enhance residents' lifestyle experience. The role of the Event & Program Coordinator is essential to our service delivery model and works in concert with other team members to ensure that all programmatic offerings meet objectives. Specific responsibilities of this position include the execution of event and program elements, implementation of key communications initiatives, and creation, refinement, and integration of processes that support the success of the Community Council Team. Essential job responsibilities include: * In collaboration with fellow team members, create, organize, implement and promote events and programs to benefit DC Ranch residents and stakeholders; * Event design and production of annual events and celebrations, including set-up and break down, organizing facilities and details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, equipment, staffing requirements, etc.; * Manage event/program registration software platform; * Collaborate with Community Engagement Coordinator to recruit and manage volunteers for roles essential to designated events and program execution, as well as training of volunteers; * Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations; * Work in partnership with the Communications Team to develop marketing themes, collateral, press releases, articles, and other promotional material - be a BUZZ generator; * Contribute to effective communications efforts by collecting, drafting and/or editing copy, sourcing photos and video; * Actively solicit feedback from event/program participants pre and post- event to ensure that program offerings meet desired objectives; * Collaborate with commercial partners on designated Event & Program needs and potential sponsorship elements; * Contribute to the efficient operation of our community centers by providing front desk coverage, facility rental assistance and customer service expertise as needed; * Managing designated budget expenditures, allocations, projections, and recommendations; * Actively contribute ideas and creativity to constantly improve the programs, events and activities of the DC Ranch Community Council. Position Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or Marketing preferable, or industry training/experience equivalent * 3 to 5 years experience in progressively responsible positions * Direct experience coordinating large-scale events * Budget management experience preferred * Customer service and general office procedures/operations * Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Long hours and weekend work often required * Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects * Must have a moderate level of physical fitness Job Type: Full-time Experience: * Event Planning: 3 years Education: * Bachelor's Location: * Scottsdale, AZ 16 hours ago - save job
