  • Responsibilities

    Our client, Lending Team Inc. , is looking to add a Loan Officer to the team. The Junior Loan Officer facilitates residential mortgage loans and advises borrowers on available finance options. This includes meeting with clients to discuss their financial needs, underwriting loan applications, and closing loans. The Junior Loan Officer must have a strong understanding of the mortgage lending process and be able to build relationships with clients.

    This position can be performed as a hybrid position, split between time at the employee's home office and the office located in Richboro, PA.

    Duties & tasks may include:

    1. Responsible for talking to potential customers on the phone.

    2. Meet with clients to discuss their financial needs and goals.

    3. Discuss and advise the client of their home loan options.

    4. Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage applied for, including but not limited to borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.

    5. Submits complete mortgage applications to the lending department for processing in a timely fashion.

    6. Requests necessary documentation from borrowers to insure loans conform to the guidelines and program requirements.

    7. Abide by all state, federal, and local laws, including those regarding fair lending and nondiscrimination in the extension of mortgage services.

    8. Manages Customers' expectations regarding processing times and closing dates.

    9. Develops plan to achieve sales goals with assistance from sales management.

    10. Maintain an active knowledge of the mortgage lending process.

    11. Develop and maintain relationships with clients as well as partners.

    12. Stay knowledgeable of lending regulations.

    13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Highly qualified candidates will possess most of the following:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.

    • Possession of a PA NMLS License, preferred.

    • Experienced in sales and prospecting via phone.

    • 1+ years of experience marketing and originating mortgage loans and loan products.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Excellent customer service skills.

    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

    • Proficient listening, verbal, and written communication skills to convey information concisely yet effectively.

    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously (multi-tasker). High attention to accuracy and detail.
