    Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer

    Reports To:  President, DYM.

    Department:  Mortgage

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Summary:  Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including the type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, credit report findings, and length of employment.Verifies, compiles, and types application information for mortgage loans by performing the following duties.THE FIVE DAY WORKWEEK FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDES SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

    Provide excellent customer service - present, manage, and close mortgage loans.

    • Maintain and develop strong customer service with all clients
    • Explain mortgage products/services top potential borrowers that best fit the customer's needs and financial situation.
    • Assist with prior to document and prior to funding items on conditional approvals
    • Prepare timely pre-qualifications
    • Reviewing and determining issuance of closing disclosures with lender.
    • Complete loan disclosures timely for borrowers. 
    • Set  up loan document signing appointments with borrowers.

    Complete and maintain internal mortgage loan processes and timing.

    • Determine with CFO and Construction Department best possible interest rate lock time frame based on borrower circumstances and construction timeline.
    • Assist with prior to funding items and conditions
    • Communicate with all departments

    Cultivate and maintain good lender and other affiliate relations.

    • Communication: Act as primary liaison with customer, external entities (realtors, lenders, title, and escrow officers), and other company affiliates. 
    • Manage pipeline of loans to ensure closing occur timely with construction completion.
    • Maintain pipeline of loans for COE.
    • Generate external loan pipeline.

    Maintain competent knowledge of lending rates and industry trends.

    • Analyze current rates and programs to provide accurate and timely information to customers. 
    • Keep informed on trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government issued mortgages

     Regulatory compliance responsibilities and record keeping.

    • Transact business in conformance with state and federal regulations such as but not limited to  RESPA, HMDA, and fair lending practices. 
    • Process and maintain borrower files within lending software.
    • Maintain hard copy borrower files.
    • Complete NMLS Quarterly Call Report and Monthly Closed Report
