    Legal Internship in Probate, Business and Estate Planning De la Cruz law, LLC is offering a summer internship to an exceptional second-year law student who possesses a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and a commitment to servicing clients in estate planning, probate, elder and business law. If successful, this internship could turn into a permanent part-time position throughout the school year and possibly a permanent position after graduation. A stipend of $650 a week will be provided for a 30-35 hour work week. At De la Cruz Law LLC, our mission is to help families and small businesses create life and estate plans that save money, create peace of mind and prevent unnecessary stress during life’s unexpected events. Responsibilities: • Research, draft and prepare petitions for probate • Write reports and draft legal memos for all legal cases  • Reviewing pending legislation - new probate laws, tax laws, and any legislative changes  • Draft cover letters and simple court documents • Draft Petitions, Motions, and other court documents • Help attorneys prepare cases for probate hearings  • Assisting lawyers in the courtroom (occasionally) • Develop positive relationships with Court Personnel and follow up with them on a weekly basis to ensure cases are moving forward and update clients on the status of their case • Research and prepare draft of presentations for Attorney's Speaking Engagements. Work with marketing assistant to finalize presentations. Business:  • Draft corporate bylaws, LLC agreements, shareholder agreements • Prepare and Organize Estate Planning Binders and act as Witness for Signings • Preparing discovery and responses to discovery demands Estate Planning: • Prepare and draft Estate Planning Documents and Ancillary Documents and assist with Funding of Documents Qualifications: EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: • A rising second-year law student at an accredited law school; • Strong academic background; • Excellent research and writing skills; and • Commitment to client service  • Interest in probate, estate planning, elder and business law KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Commitment to servicing clients and serving in a professional and collaborative environment • Technology savvy • The ideal candidate would be bilingual and have intermediate proficiency in either Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, or Korean. Compensation: $5,200
