    Job Description

    FINANCIAL ANALYST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Seeking a Financial Analysts to gather data to understand the trends affecting a specific type of company’s developments, geographical region or industry to help direct the asset investment decisions. Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support. Prepare reports and projections based on financial data. Recommend individual and collections of investment portfolios. Evaluate current and previous financial data. Study business and economic trends. Determine a property’s value by examining its financial statements.

     

    More Specifically: Assist in directing portfolio asset operating strategies to maximize the performance of multi-faceted Retail shopping centers and Self-Storage portfolios in a manner consistent with the company overall objectives. Assist in evaluating opportunities for preventative maintenance, energy efficiencies and expansion, investment, acquisition, and/or other business directions consistent with the organization’s strategic and operational objectives. Assist in implementing asset management policies and programs, as well as overseeing the asset management monitoring function. Some of these functions include: physical operations, marketing and advertising, insurance and risk management, capital improvements, tax appeals, review of internal operating metrics reports, understanding of centershift and quickview, market rents and pricing, occupancy stats and executive summary reports, assist in acquisition due diligence.

     

    Responsibilities: Must demonstrate exemplary leadership skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills, presentation, negotiation, and listening skills. Ability to oversee expenses, repairs and create capital budgets. Present analytical results in a manner appropriate for senior management decision- making.

     

    Skills: The ability to use a PC and familiarity with common spreadsheets, word processing and property valuation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, or related software is required. Have proven experience succeeding in a fast-paced environment, have a proven record of exercising sound judgment in pressure situations, and contain a developed capacity for handling multiple tasks while focusing on priorities. Must have proven and demonstrated the following: strong oral communication skills and strong written communication, listening, and negotiations skills, strong project management and planning skills, the ability to run effective meetings, and the ability to meet deadlines. Display solid leadership and mentoring and people interaction skills.
