Dealer Trade Network is a Louisville-based organization that provides inventory solutions to new car dealers. We’ve formalized the new car wholesale trading market, digitizing transactions and technologies that assist with inventory efficiency optimization for their floor plans. Our proprietary solutions make it easier and more convenient for dealerships to wholesale inventory nationwide.

The Logistics Agent at DTN is responsible for promptly ensuring the automobiles selected are expedited and routed to their specific locations. In this task-heavy position, you will take orders from the sales team and arrange the pick-up of freight and cargo for delivery to the required site. Maintaining proper bills of landing or other charges/fees is a significant part of the success of this role.

Job Purpose:

The Logistics Agent role at DTN plays an integral part in the logistics team's daily functions. It provides the necessary functions for inventory to move to the desired locations and ensures all individuals get paid. This role requires a high degree of focus, attention to detail, and follow-up. The ability to speak with vendors and handle difficult situations at any moment with a high degree of customer service is necessary. This role requires a problem-solver who is not afraid of a challenge.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Posting and booking of all DTN shipments and cargo
• Negotiate and arrange transport of goods with shipping or freight companies
• Collect inspection sheets for all shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment
• Track and resolve logistics damage claims
• Provide customer service and assistance to customers via phone support, or email
• Payment processing and payment support for vendors, as needed
• Communicating updates and information as necessary

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a freight/logistics role or equivalent
• Experience using MS Office and Google G-Suite, specifically Excel and Google Sheets, is required.
• Warehouse/logistics experience is preferred. Experience using logistical software for transportation/freight is preferred as well.

Education:

• High school diploma/G.E.D. required
