JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Web Designer will be responsible for supporting Implementation and Client Support teams through completing website design changes as requested by clients in addition to completing original designs for client homepages, custom page templates, and other web design tasks. Tasks may require both graphic design and coding knowledge (primarily HTML, CSS, and jQuery). This is a mid-level position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Balance work and due dates to ensure on-time completion of tasks
• Ensure that quality of the work meets the company’s high standards 
• Adapt to process changes while maintaining a positive attitude 
• Remain ahead of industry trends and incorporate modern design techniques in work 
• Hand-code websites using fundamental HTML/CSS skills (we do not use WordPress, PHP, etc.) 
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of UX design principles

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field 
• 3+ years of work experience in web design, including responsive web design 
• Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines 
• Familiar with responsive web design concepts 
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver 
• Portfolio of work showcasing strong design fundamentals

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 

• 5+ years’ experience in field or career 
• jQuery and JavaScript knowledge 
• Experience working with Content Management Systems 
• Knowledge of design principles: typography, color theory, and layout 
• Knowledge of the automotive industry
