As a reconditioning manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the reconditioning of all used vehicles. Our cars must be reconditioned to frontline ready in a matter of days. You will be expected to visually inspect vehicles for paint and body damage as well as interior repair and mechanical reconditioning needs. After inspections, you will be expected to get estimates for the repairs, get all required approvals and assign the work to the appropriate internal staff or outside vendors to complete. This position is vital to the organization because it is pivotal to controlling both the cost and time it takes the dealership to prepare a vehicle for sale. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include: • Sourcing parts by balancing economics, delivery and warranty coverage • Timely estimating of mechanical and bodywork • Overseeing the complete recon process from estimates to front-line ready • Dispatch work to technicians • Ensure parts returns are done in a timely manner • Keep updated records on all vehicles that are repaired Qualifications: Preferred experience would include: • Automotive paint and body estimating • Automotive mechanical repair • Prior parts experience • Be organized and able to hold vendors and staff accountable to delivery deadlines Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 yearly
