Title: Deal Auditor
Reports to: General Manager and Controller
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)
Role Summary: Under the direct supervision of the General Manager and the Controller, will lead efforts to complete audits for finance deals at a high volume while maintaining rigorous standards. Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the company.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Essential job functions do not require exercising independent judgment.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Review each sold retail and lease deal to ensure all necessary documents are present (e.g., loan agreements, customer identification, insurance forms).
- Ensure that all mandatory documents are signed, such as loan contracts, disclosure forms, and acknowledgments.
- Verify that all fields in finance documents are completed correctly.
- Ensure that all deal files are compliant with legal and dealership standards.
- Conduct a final review of each deal before it’s processed to prevent errors or omissions. Work with the finance department to correct any discrepancies or omissions
- Ensure that all finance documents are stored securely and in accordance with the dealership’s document retention policy.
- Employee must clock in at the beginning of each shift and clock out at the end of each shift. Any overtime must be approved by direct supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous related experience desired.
- Must have a current NM driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be adept at both oral and written communication techniques and maintain effective working relationships with a range of audiences, from customers, prospective customers, vendors, owners, other staff members, and the public at large.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing; develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, all members of the Galles team.
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in car dealership settings.
- Bilingual, English/Spanish.
Physical and Mental Challenges:
- Consistent sitting for many hours at one time. Majority of day (65%+) is spent sitting at a desk.
- Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive oral and written information and to prepare or inspect documents.
- Good manual dexterity is required for regular and consistent use of keyboard and mouse and other office equipment.
- Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Majority of the job is located inside a climate-controlled office, during regular hours of operation.
- May be expected to drive a company or personal vehicle, as a normal course of job performance. Must be insurable through MVD.
- Requires discriminating and critical thinking skills, guided and creative problem solving and ability to keep confidences and apply discretion on a regular basis.
This is a ‘safety sensitive’ position in which performance by a person under the influence of drugs or alcohol would constitute an immediate or direct threat of injury or death to that person or another. As such, employees in this role are subject to random drug screening.
