Legal Assistant for a dynamic boutique law firm Are you looking for a career change? We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support the paralegals and attorneys of our boutique tax firm in Alpharetta. The day-to-day life of the Legal Assistant would be forming entities with various Secretary of State offices, obtaining employer identification numbers, drafting documents as directed, reviewing documents for spelling and formatting, recording real estate documents and UCCs with the requisite clerk of courts, filing documents with the IRS, preparing and sending client correspondence, and additional administrative work as necessary to support the paralegals and attorneys. The right legal assistant candidate would have the ability to advance to a paralegal with hard work, dedication, and drive. Compensation: $36,000 - $40,000 + bonus potential - depending on experience per year with insurance premiums 100% paid in full by the firm, company HSA contribution, 401k with company match, and fitness center membership. Responsibilities: • Forming entities on state records and obtaining EINs for client projects • Drafting various documents as directed by the paralegals and/or attorneys • Creating draft and final binders and electronic folders • Filing various real estate documents and UCCs with the requisite clerk of courts • Filing various documents with the IRS • Preparing and sending client correspondence • General administrative tasks as requested by paralegals, attorneys, or administrative staff including copying, scanning, filing, and saving documents Qualifications: • To succeed in this role, the right candidate will have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and that nothing is beneath them. In addition, the right candidate needs to have the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with individuals at all levels of the firm • One year of general office experience is preferred, with or without legal experience • A 4-year college degree is required • Experience with Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Professional demeanor, appearance, and customer service skills • Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task efficiently • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail • Willing to go above and beyond to assist everyone in the firm Compensation: $36,000 - $40,000 yearly + bonus potential
