We are urgently hiring an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee all aspects of maintenance staff on a daily basis at our 290+ room hotel and conference center. As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and performing routine, preventive, and emergency interior/exterior maintenance and repairs to ensure optimum efficiency and economy of hotel operations. You will report to General Manager or Assistant General Manager. Relocation and sign-on incentives are available! Responsibilities: • Lead and motivate the engineering team to achieve operational, guest, employee, and owner satisfaction. • Develop and implement effective plans to prioritize, schedule, and assign tasks to the engineering department staff. • Ensure timely response to guests' maintenance needs and deliver prompt, courteous service in accordance with hotel standards. • Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel by overseeing maintenance activities for all areas including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and more. • Maintain accurate records of all plant and equipment for the hotel, including repair and service records. • Regularly monitor and test the hotel's emergency and security systems, such as fire alarms, CCTV, and more. • Ensure high-quality service standards, meet or exceed financial goals, develop short- and long-term plans, and oversee day-to-day operations. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent work experience. • At least 5 years of experience in building management and maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a hotel engineering department. • Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering. • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 yearly
