WEB DESIGNER
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA OFFICE-BASED SETTING

The WEB DESIGNER plays a key role as a member of the Marketing Team in fulfilling the company’s mission - Help People Build Better Decks. The WEB DESIGNER is accountable for developing, managing, and optimizing a highly engaging, informative eCommerce website on the Magento 2 platform through intuitive, on-brand user interfaces. The WEB DESIGNER will have a strong understanding of the current state of e-Commerce and preferably knowledge of the home improvement/building materials market or a DIY personality.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
IN ADDITION TO HONING YOUR TEAM RECREATIONAL SKILLS, WE’LL EXPECT YOU TO:
Creating website and digital assets
Skills and expertise in software/programming languages such as HTML and Javascript a plus
Create visual content to engage and educate consumers about DecksDirect products
Consistent, on-brand experience for e-Commerce website
Apply design standards, guidelines and best practices for e-Commerce website
Visual design of online/e-Commerce creative elements
RESPONSIBILITIES
IN BETWEEN NERF™ GUN BATTLES YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE BY DOING WHAT YOU DO BEST:
Collaborate with marketing team and contribute to the development of website design and content strategy to drive sales and build awareness of the products and DecksDirect brand
Develop and deliver on-brand user experience for eCommerce website
Establish, promote, and enforce design guidelines, best practices, and standards
Manage and prioritize multiple assigned website design-related tasks at one time, each in different stages of production to ensure the successful delivery of projects while meeting timelines
Produce and execute user-centered concepts (e.g., mockups, wireframes) designed to improve the overall digital experience, meet user needs, and satisfy business objectives at the page, component, and navigational level
Ongoing development of functionality and design enhancements to improve website for consumers, contractors, and internal team
Maintain new design technologies and best practices within mobile and responsive design
Learn content domains, visualize and simplify complex systems, and solve problems both analytically and creatively
