Oriole Transportation is hiring Class A CDL drivers for local dry and refrigerated freight routes. This role offers consistent home time, competitive pay, and a supportive team environment. Drivers must have personal transportation to and from the terminal daily.
Pay & Compensation
Average Weekly Pay: ~$1,300 per week (after 90-day ramp-up period)
Top-performing drivers can earn over $1,500 per week
Stop Pay: $20 per stop
Mileage-based pay scale with experience-based increases:
0–6 months: $0.56/mile
6–12 months: $0.57/mile
1–2 years: $0.58/mile
2–3 years: $0.59/mile
3–5 years: $0.60/mile
5–7 years: $0.61/mile
7–10 years: $0.62/mile
10+ years: $0.63/mile
Minimum Mileage Pay: Shorter routes will be paid according to minimum mileage band pay
Schedule & Home Time
Home daily with consistent schedules
48-hour resets (same two days off each week)
Start times between noon and midnight
5 days on, 2 days off, with weekend and holiday shifts required
Part-time option available (11–29 hours/week, flexible Friday–Sunday shifts)
Job Details
Freight: Mixture of dry and refrigerated no-touch, live-unload grocery freight
Routes: Drivers will typically run 1,600–1,700 miles per week (usually 2 routes per working day, 11–14 hour shifts)
Equipment: Slip-seat operation in newer model day cabs
Customer Service: Must prioritize safety, handle customer concerns with patience, and provide excellent service
Vacation Eligibility
1 week after 1 year
2 weeks after 2 years
3 weeks after 7 years
4 weeks after 10 years

Driver Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Must have personal transportation to and from the terminal daily
Must be able to work afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Clean driving record and background
Must pass drug screen
