Dedicated RBT & Child Development Support Specialist for Engaging 10-Year-Old

A warm and welcoming family in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time RBT to provide enriching care and support for their bright and engaging 10-year-old daughter. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is adept at understanding and responding to individual needs. You will play a vital role in the child's daily life, fostering a nurturing and consistent routine while working alongside a supportive family and their team.
Position Details
- Compensation: $35–$40 per hour (equivalent to a $70,000-$80,000 annual equivalent for the part-time hours)
- Schedule:
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Includes two overnights per week, providing support with evening routines and ensuring a smooth transition to the school day.
- Start Date: ASAP, ideally by February 21
What You'll Do:
- Provide attentive, individualized care and positive engagement for a wonderful 10-year-old who is non-verbal.
- Support and implement strategies to encourage communication and emotional regulation.
- Assist with daily routines, including engaging evening activities and structured morning routines to prepare for the school day.
- Stay overnight two nights per week, offering consistent support and care.
- Maintain open and effective communication with the family regarding the child's progress and well-being.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the family's team of therapists and educators to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach.
- Foster a safe, patient, and understanding environment that encourages growth and development.
Bonus Opportunities:
- Occasionally provide support for infant twins, offering a varied and engaging caregiving experience.
What We're Looking For:
- A deeply compassionate and patient individual with a genuine affinity for working with children with unique needs.
- Demonstrated experience supporting non-verbal children, ideally with an understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles or other relevant developmental therapies.
- Proven ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations.
- Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working within a dynamic family environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established plans and routines.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- A valid driver’s license and US work authorization.
- At least of 18 years of age at application time.
- 3-5 professional references who can speak to your relevant experience.
