Job Description
Do you believe in good korma? Do samosas give you all the fillings? If you take efficient growth, spreadsheets and food seriously, but not yourself (and you enjoy a good pun), then we might have a job for you.
First, a little more about us. We are Deep Indian Kitchen®. You may have seen us in the frozen aisles of over 9,000 natural and conventional grocery stores or been to our chain of 3 fast-casual restaurants in NYC. Or, if you shop at Indian grocery stores, you know our parent company Deep Foods Inc. as your trusted manufacturer and brand with over 800 SKUs. But our brand is still pretty new. In late 2019 we began a turnaround and rebrand of our Tandoor Chef® frozen brand and Indikitch® restaurants to Deep Indian Kitchen®. There was a need to fill with millennials and foodies actively seeking authentic ethnic experiences, but lacking high quality, modern Indian options. Our differentiated approach and products have made us an emerging brand with triple digit growth, due to the #1 fastest selling frozen Indian product in America, over 17K new points of distribution in 2021, over 110K followers on Instagram…we could go on. And we know it’s cliché to say “we’re just getting started,” but we don’t know of any other aspiring ‘platform brand’ that gets to pick and choose from an 800 SKU innovation pipeline.
Back to the point: you. We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to assist in achieving supply chain and operational objectives. Reporting to the Operations Manager, she/he will work closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to help manage inventory, transportation, and reporting. Responsibilities will include maintaining high service levels to distributors and retailers, tracking stock and shipments with our 3PLs, and managing weekly/monthly reports. This role has a hybrid schedule and is based in our Union, NJ (metro NYC) headquarters.
We need the right partner who gets excited by growing brands and has a demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations with limited resources and execute speed, tenacity and agility. Our ideal candidate will also have a passion for food, and classical training and/or growth brand experience.
Deep Foods Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. If this all sounds like you, please send us your resume as well as a brief introductory note.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Coordinate and track inventory to distributors and 3PLs
· Assist in maintaining healthy inventory levels at distributor DCs by influencing buyers to place orders to increase forward weeks of supply based on analysis of inventory versus forecasts
· Generate weekly report of distributor DC level inventory status, weeks of supply, purchase order tracking, and service levels
· Collaborate with Logistics Coordinator to track shipments from our facility to the customer and facilitate transportation changes with buyers when necessary
· Track packaging for finished goods calling out potential risks of run outs within near future
· Review aging inventory and assist in managing down risk and disposition
· Support with investigating OS&Ds and supplier compliance chargebacks
· Create and maintain reports that will aid in hitting department goals and objectives
· Actively contribute to developing Deep Indian Kitchen team culture
REQUIREMENTS:
· BA/BS degree required in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related fields
· 1-3 years or equivalent experience in CPG supply chain management role or related position, preferably with emerging brand experience

· Experience motivating cross-functional teams and external partners
· Ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities
· Travel no more than 5%
