Summary: Del Conca USA is looking to fill the role of materials planner (supply chain) for our ceramic tile manufacturing facility. The Materials Planner will be responsible for optimizing site supply chain processes, performance, and tools. The position is responsible for supporting the Materials team, idea generation and implementation of supply chain optimization actions including supplier performance and development, transportation, material flow and inventory optimization. Also, the position will drive and support critical supply chain situations and optimization of costs, capacity utilization while meeting specifications/requirements from Materials, Logistics, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Establish and follow ERP driven purchase processes & compliance. · Work directly with production supervisors under the materials ordering process. · Improve and manage the monthly inventory and stock. · Ability to work independently and to lead and/or participate in cross functional teams. · Work with vendors to coordinate their schedules and establish priorities when required to prevent supply constraints or customer service issues. · Report analysis and creation (coverage, forecast, projections, supplier past due orders, supplier over shipments, .) · Work with the procurement team in Italy regarding changes and new projects · Review daily production reporting and scheduling. · Develops and manages replenishment strategies for assigned materials. · Coordinate efforts with production supervisors and operations to identify material modification, substitutions and needs to be fulfilled. Qualifications: · B.S. or B.A degree in supply chain or similar field. · Must have a proven record of decision-making within the framework of changing business conditions. · Working with suppliers on all aspects of material planning such as acknowledgments, expediting, deferrals, billing discrepancies, invoicing. · 2-5+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain · Literate in ERP software (preferably SAP) Company Description Del Conca USA is a high tech, international US manufacturing facility offering a casual to fast-paced environment.
