    THE POSITION

    The Senior Grant Administrator under the supervision of Community Development Administrator will be responsible for oversight of grant administration and management. You will be responsible for administration of human services grants, evaluation of funding applications, the provision of technical assistance to grantees and grant applicants, program and project management/financial record keeping, and monitoring of grantee performance. The position will supervise Grant Administrators administering homeless, behavioral health and other grants. The role requires a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to multi-task. The position is grant funded; continued employment is contingent on continued funding.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

    The ideal professional background and qualifications for the Senior Grant Administrator include:

    • Supervise the staff to administer human services grants funded through federal and local funding, including the provision of technical assistance to grantees and grant applicants, program and project management/financial record keeping, and monitoring of grantee performance.
    • Assess gaps and develop strategies to full critical communities needs in the areas of behavioral health, homelessness, transportation, economic development, and other needs of low-income residents.
    • Serve as the liaison to the human service providers in Lake County, serving as a representative to local coalitions and alliances.
    • Engage health and human service providers to send and receive electronic referrals to improve the overall provision of human services in Lake County.
    • Write grant applications and reports.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on grant compliance and best practices.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Interested candidates should minimally possess the following education and experience:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in is desirable.
    • Also, three (3) to five (5) years of business experience with at least two (2) to four (4) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Valid driver’s license required with a satisfactory driving record.

     

    COMPENSATION

    Lake County is offering a competitive salary (hiring range is from $58,991 - $67,332 +/- (K7) commensurate with experience) along with an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. We also offer flexible working hours, and a comprehensive wellness and training program.
