Concessions Internship, Comerica Park
The Opportunity Delaware North Sportservice is hiring for a Concessions Intern to join our team at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. As a Concessions Intern, you will be assisting the management team on training and scheduling activities for associates at Comerica Park. On event days, you will help the Concessions team with running the stands, including inventory management. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and tuition reimbursement are available for eligible associates.Responsibilities Assist with new hire orientation and the onboarding of associates at the venue.Coordinate associate scheduling on event days and track associate attendance.Support with associate check-in on event days.Perform end of event tasks, including the closing of stands and retail transaction reports.Perform Spoilage tracker, and units per thousand reports to help the management team look at sales trends.Rotate between multiple departments in the organization to see how it all comes together.Specialized project near end, that allows for critical thinking of improving some form of our businessAssociate counseling and coaching.All other duties assigned.Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old.Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university, Business Administration or Human Resources or "Hospitality" majors preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Constant lifting, twisting, reaching, bending, and repetitive motions.Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Shift Details 1st Shift2nd Shift3rd ShiftHolidaysWeekendsWho We Are Delaware North operates concessions, premium dining and retail services at the 41,297-seat Comerica Park, home of the MLB's Detroit Tigers.
