Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Deli Clerk to join our team! As a Deli Clerk, you will assist customers with their deli/bakery needs, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the departments appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of deli/bakery and/or food prep.

Responsibilities

Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance with their deli/bakery needs.

Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.

Follow all food safety guidelines.

Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.

Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively

Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service

Willingness to work well in a team environment

Ability to occasionally lift over 50 lbs.
