About the Role:

The Cheese Shop in Concord, MA is looking for a passionate and friendly Deli Counter associate to join our team! If you love great food, great conversation, and creating memorable experiences for customers, this is the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for passionate individuals to help assist our deli making sandwiches and preparing food. Responsibilities:

Assist customers at the deli counter with sandwiches, product selection, recommendations, and custom orders

Slice, wrap, and package meats and specialty deli items to order

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked deli counter display

Handle food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards

Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently

Receive and rotate deli inventory, checking for freshness and proper storage

Requirements:

Prior deli, food service, or specialty food retail experience preferred but NOT necessary

Strong customer service and communication skills

Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety and sanitation best practices

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
