Job Description
Eataly’s cheese department is home to 500+ of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses and meats are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Deli Food Service Artisan prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Deli Food Service Artisan has passion for cheese and different types of Italian meats with the ability to share that passion with Eataly’s guests. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.
- Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of cold foods, including meats and cheeses
- Samples products to customers.
- Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators.
- Checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary.
- Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
- Assists with periodic inventory checks.
- Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
- Cleans work station thoroughly
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
