    Your responsibilities

    The Server's priorities and responsibilities are to exceed our guests' expectations by providing the highest level of consistent hospitiality, professional, and courteous service.

    • Prepare a wide variety of coffees/teas/smoothies for both to-go and seated guests
    • Provide exemplary service to all guests by applying knowledge of the food and beverage menus by engaging with guests at every opportunity
    • Properly execute all steps of food and beverage counter and table service
    • Maintain POS cash controls per company guidelines (cash, credit cards, discounts, complimentary items, etc….)
    • Ensure all standards are exceeded within the operations, including guest welcome, orders, delivery of food and beverage, and clearing tables
    • Follow all daily and weekly cleaning assignments
    • Perform inventory counts as required or assigned by the supervisor
    • Respond positively to any guest's requests
    • Execute daily pre- and post-shift checklists in a timely manner
    • Prepare all menu items as designed by the menu, including presentation at all times
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Monitor station and stock with appropriate inventory and supplies as needed
    • Manage and stock inventory of kitchen ingredients, food items, and supplies
    • Label food items and store them in the correct place according to plans
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and standards
    • Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
    • Wash dishes / take trash out

    • Barista and table service experience
    • Commitment to our Cafe goals and objectives
    • Team player that can be relied on to be self-managed as/when needed
    • Strong Guest Service focus with natural ability to engage with guests
    • Proficiency in all aspects of food and beverage service and operations
    • Understanding of wine and craft beer
    • Welcoming and polite manner, neat and professional appearance
    • Punctuality and willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • TIPS certification required
    • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required
    • In-depth knowledge of NYC Department of Health standards
