Position Overview

We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our delivery team as a Delivery Helper. In this role, you will ride along with our delivery drivers to assist with the loading, unloading, and placement of event rental equipment at customer locations throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. No prior experience is required — we provide full on-the-job training.

This is an active, customer-facing role that is essential to ensuring our clients receive their equipment on time and in perfect condition, helping make their special events a success.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading event rental equipment including tables, chairs, linens, tents, staging, and other items

Carry and place equipment at customer locations according to delivery instructions

Ensure all delivered items are accounted for and in good condition

Assist with the pickup and return of rental equipment after events

Maintain a clean, organized truck and work area

Represent Taylor Rental Party Plus in a courteous and professional manner when interacting with customers

Assist with warehouse duties including sorting, cleaning, and preparing equipment between deliveries as needed

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. Candidates must be able to:

Lift and carry up to 75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the workday

Perform prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and carrying

Load and unload box trucks safely and efficiently

Navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, and various outdoor terrains while carrying equipment

Work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain

Maintain physical stamina throughout long workdays, which may include early mornings and weekends during peak season

What We're Looking For

Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude

Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a two-person team

Friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with customers

Willingness to learn and take direction

Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Valid driver's license a plus, but not required
