Position Summary

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods between warehouses, suppliers, and customer locations while ensuring accurate deliveries, proper product handling, and professional customer interaction. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a company box truck safely and in compliance with all DOT and company regulations

Load and unload products using pallet jacks, lift gates, or manual handling as required

Verify orders against invoices, packing lists, and delivery manifests

Deliver products to customers on scheduled routes in a timely manner

Collect signatures and required delivery documentation

Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip)

Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle

Report mechanical issues, accidents, or delays immediately

Follow all company safety and product-handling procedures

Provide professional customer service during deliveries

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license (CDL not required unless applicable)

Clean driving record

Experience driving a box truck (typically 16–26 ft preferred)

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly

Strong reliability and time-management skills

Basic reading and documentation skills

Familiarity with local delivery routes preferred

Work Environment

Frequent standing, lifting, and driving

Warehouse and outdoor conditions

Early morning start times may be required
