Last-Mile Delivery Associate Driver

This Delivery Associate Driver position focuses on efficient last-mile package delivery to customers' homes and businesses. You will drive a company-provided vehicle from our designated station to our service area. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly dependable, possess a strong work ethic, enjoy daily challenges, and like to be actively engaged in their work.

• No experience is needed! We provide comprehensive paid training.

• Company Vehicle Provided! No CDL Required!

• Shifts typically range between 8-10 hours per day and are available 7 days per week, offering flexibility.

Key Responsibilities of a Palapa Logistics Delivery Driver:

As a Delivery Driver with Palapa Logistics LLC, you will:

• Operate company delivery vehicles safely, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

• Ensure proper handling and secure delivery of all parcels and sensitive materials.

• Efficiently deliver 150-200+ packages daily, managing your route effectively.

• Effectively use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld devices for precise routing and customer delivery information.

• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle mileage, and cargo information.

• Adhere to all company and industry regulations and policies.

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.

• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.

• Keep customers updated on delivery schedule changes, proactively calling them if there are any delays or changes to their estimated arrival time.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with warehouse personnel.

• Inform management of any obstacles to making safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.

• Navigate a variety of routes throughout diverse delivery areas, being comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.

• Load and unload packages efficiently and safely.

• Be CUSTOMER OBSESSED!! We strive to deliver packages and smiles to all our customers.

• Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Lift packages up to 50 lbs.

  • Able to get in and out of a delivery van and walk up and down stairs throughout your shift.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements for Delivery Driver Applicants:

• Eligible to work legally in the U.S.

• At least 21 years of age.

• Valid Driver's License (Required).

• Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.

• Driving experience is required (1 year preferred).

• Ability to Commute: Staten Island (Required).

• Work Location: On the road, serving our delivery areas.

• Ability to work day shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule.

• Full-time availability preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• English language proficiency (Required).
